Tuesday

Saturday was a very productive day...remember the list of things I mentioned wanting to accomplish?  We did everything on the list and more, well, except for mowing the lawn.  The Littles joined in on the fun.
I weeded my flowers along the fence of my vegetable garden and planted the perennials that my Mom gave me for Mother's Day.  Yes, she has this sweet little habit of giving me a gift on Mother's Day. I keep reminding her that it is suppose to be the other way around, but she won't hear of it.

Little #9 soon decided playing was more fun.

Little #6 stepped in for her.

We found the largest worm we have ever seen...Little #8 was more than pleased.

I pruned around the crab apple tree, getting rid of old blackberry canes and found myself inspired to do another project in that area...I'm excited to get started on it.

Little #4 and 5 helped with taking away the debris...they weren't too excited about the dead blackberry canes, though.
We chased runaway chickens out of the garden.

Replanted the sugar-snap peas.

Planted the pole beans.

Fertilized the blueberry bushes and mulched around them.

And put up a bird feeder. I hope the Rose-breasted Grosbeaks and Goldfinches love it as much as I do.

Everyone helped out...

...except for this little guy.  He took a nice long, afternoon nap.

The rain held off until we were finished, and we all feasted on the first grilled hamburgers and hot dogs of the season.  We were all tired by the end of the day, but it was a good feeling to get so much accomplished.
